Earthrise currently owns 773MW of natural gas peaking plants and is focused on rapidly expanding its thermal and renewable footprint. Earthrise has a renewables development pipeline of ~1GW+ and this is only the beginning! Earthrise is targeting utility-scale projects in the 100MW+ range. The company’s platform approach will create long-term opportunities for local communities and businesses as the clean energy transition continues to scale.
We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurially minded Project Developer & Development Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development, the Project Developer/Analyst will have significant day-to-day responsibility for the Company’s regional project development activities in the Midwest, including a ~1.6+ GW pipeline of solar + storage projects, which will continue to expand as the Company’s footprint grows. The Developer will focus initially on early-stage development, supporting the execution of real estate acquisition, interconnection, permitting, and environmental diligence. The Project Developer will coordinate closely with the Lead and Project Developers, the Senior Director of Business Development, and the broader team. As part of a small, growing company, the Developer will also contribute to overall corporate development and company culture and will be involved periodically in projects outside of day-to-day project execution such as project M&A support and market research and analysis.
Earthrise’s renewable strategy will initially focus on utility-scale solar and energy storage projects in areas surrounding its operating plants. Over time, the company will explore opportunities to develop additional resources such as wind, green hydrogen, and electric vehicle infrastructure, among others!
They are looking for someone based in the MISO region. Preference for Chicago, IL, or MST, CST, EST time zones.

- MBA, engineering, or previous renewables experience preferred
- Previous project management or business development experience in renewables or other energy
- Familiar with MISO or Mid-west region
