Oliver Browne is a Ph.D. Candidate in The Department of Economics and a Research Fellow at the Urban Energy and Environment Lab at the University of Chicago. I am on the Job Market and will be available for interviews at the ASSA meeting in Philadelphia in January 2018. I am an applied micro-economist with a focus on energy and environmental markets.
My current topics of research include: (1.) The impact adjudication of prior appropriation water rights has on agricultural production and water use (2.) The impact of residential water conservation policies during drought and the enforcement of residential outdoor water-use restrictions and (3.) The exercise of market power in electricity markets dominated by hydroelectric generators.
