Joseph Cullen is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. He studies environmental regulation in energy markets. His current research examines how carbon pricing and renewable subsidies affect the short-run profitability of electricity generators and their subsequent investment decisions.  He also researches the implications of policy for innovation in clean energy technologies. Prof. Cullen received his PhD in Economics from the University of Arizona and was the Morgan Blake research fellow at the Harvard University Center for the Environment.
