François Libois is professor at the Paris School of Economics and tenured research fellow of INRAE. He works at the intersection between development economics and environmental economics with a strong focus on the role of institutions. Since the beginning of his Phd, François Libois has developed a strong expertise on Nepal and on forest related issues. As scientific advisor of the South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics, he is involved in various environment related projects in South Asia, including, for instance, on forest restoration in the region. Recently he has also been leading projects on fisheries management in Africa and France and its consequences for fishermen communities.
