We are seeking a part-time research assistant for the 2021-22 academic year for a project on the co-adoption of rooftop solar and electric vehicles. The goal of the project is to understand the motivations and barriers to adopting both technologies, to identify market segments that may vary on these factors, and to determine what policy interventions may facilitate or impede adoption. Tasks may include reviewing and synthesizing literature on solar and electric vehicle adoption, helping craft interview and survey questions, programming online surveys (no prior survey programming experience required), and working with data files. Candidates for the position should be self-starters, have a keen eye for detail and organization, and feel comfortable independently contacting and interacting with others in a professional setting.
Required: Strong communication and organizational skills; proficiency doing basic data manipulation tasks in Excel, R, or Stata
Desirable: Prior experience doing survey work is highly desirable. General familiarity with and interest in behavioral science is a plus, especially related to energy or environmental topics.
