Overview
The Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC) is looking for energetic undergraduate students with exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills to join our events internship program. Events interns become valuable members of the EPIC team, providing a student perspective to better target and connect our work to the interests of the student body. Applicants should have a strong interest in energy/environmental issues. The events internship is an unpaid internship. The position includes:
Event Promotion
Leading up to events, interns will be tasked with sharing the event via several channels such as word of mouth, social media, and posting flyers around campus. They will also be asked to provide feedback to determine new ways to connect and reach students.
Day of Events
On the day of events, interns manage on-site responsibilities such as event set-up/break-down and check-in and serve as extensions of EPIC in order to ensure that our event attendees have a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Requirements
- Must be an undergraduate UChicago student
Expectations & Time Commitment
- Full academic year commitment
- Attend bi-weekly meetings
- Attend and staff at least three events each quarter
- Share events on social media and other means
