Yun Liu

Yun is a Master’s student in Computer Science at the University of Chicago. As a Bartlett Fellow, she is working with Assistant Professor Hajin Kim on a project focused on detecting inauthentic communications within environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) reports, utilizing natural language processing and large language models. Yun is passionate about applying data, algorithms, and advanced computational techniques to address environmental challenges, including climate change, sustainability, and energy transitions. She is particularly interested in leveraging machine learning and spatial analysis to drive innovative solutions for decarbonization and environmental policy, while also working to bridge the public awareness gap around these critical issues.
