Will Macheel, a Master of Public Policy student, supports the work of the Abrams Environmental Law Clinic and its director, Mark N. Templeton, Clinical Professor of Law. This past summer, he assisted the clinic’s two client organizations and their interventions in rate cases before the Michigan Public Service Commission on behalf of low-income and environmental justice communities. His current project involves the creation of a guide for similar organizations intervening in utility cases around the country. The guide will focus on the types of data and analysis organizations can utilize to make their case before commissions on issues of affordability, reliability, and clean energy.

“Through my work with the environmental law clinic, I have had the opportunity to apply a wide range of policy analysis tools to critical issues in utility regulation.”
