Philip Mulder is an Assistant Professor of Risk and Insurance at the Wisconsin School of Business where he teaches risk management and analytics. His research studies how homeowners, insurers, and governments respond to dynamic climate risks. His research has been recognized with awards from the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, the Geneva Association, and the American Academy of Actuaries.
Mulder holds a BA in mathematics and economics from Kalamazoo College and a PhD in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Before joining the Wisconsin School of Business, he was an economist at the U.S. Treasury Office of Financial Research and a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
