Christoph Semken is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Toronto. He previously was a postdoctoral fellow in Environmental Social Sciences at the Stanford Environmental and Energy Policy Analysis Center. His research is at the intersection of environmental, behavioral, and applied economics. It investigates climate change mitigation by consumers, firms, and governments, as well as the political economy of climate policies. He obtained his Ph.D. from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. He is an affiliate with the Lawson Climate Institute and the University of Greifswald, and has held visiting positions at University of Zurich, University of Bonn, and UC Berkeley.
