BA Economics (New Economic School and Higher School of Economics)

Faculty Supervisor: Amir Jina

This year I earned a bachelor’s in Economics at New Economic School (Moscow, Russia), where I also worked as a research assistant on oil industry topics. My current interests encompass the intersection of economics and environment, and I am more specifically concerned about health issues, which are related to poor environmental conditions and climate change. Thus, in my bachelor thesis I study how vulnerable Russia may be to the rise of vector-borne infections due to the variations in climate. Prior to the economic research, I also worked and interned in various industries: management consulting, pharmaceuticals, and urban development projects. This well-rounded experience gave me a deeper understanding of the real world problems and, as I believe, will assist me in conducting applied research in the future.
