The Role of Nuclear Energy in a Climate Constrained World
Exelon CEO Chris Crane and EPIC Director Michael Greenstone participate in a panel on the role of nuclear energy in a climate constrained world.
On December 1, 2017, the University of Chicago commemorated the 75th anniversary of Chicago Pile-1, the first self-sustaining controlled nuclear chain reaction. The symposium, entitled Reactions: New Perspectives on Our Nuclear Legacy, included panel discussions on the impact of nuclear energy on medicine, policy, and national security. Author Richard Rhodes and former United States Secretary of Energy Ernie Moniz provided keynote remarks.
This panel discussion on the Role of Nuclear Energy in a Climate Constrained World was moderated by Gretchen Helfrich, Civil Rights Attorney and Former Host of “Odyssey” on Chicago Public Radio. It included Chris Crane, President and CEO of Exelon and EPIC's Michael Greenstone.
