The coal industry has been in a downward spiral in recent years, with the largest coal companies filing for bankruptcy and tens of thousands of coal workers now unemployed. Many Republicans, including President-Elect Trump, blame regulations. Their solution: roll back recent efforts like the Clean Power Plan to reduce emissions from the power sector.
