EPIC’s Clean Air Program has launched a new series of conversations sparked by EPIC Air Quality Fund Awardees—on subjects like new tools, real-world lessons, and emerging opportunities and collaborations in the air quality space. In this second session, 2025 EPIC AQ Fund Awardee—Pakistan Air Quality Initiatives (PAQI’s) Abid Omar and Mahad Naveed shared their approach to developing population-centric, optimized air quality monitoring networks for data-sparse urban regions. Their method is designed to strategically optimize the design of air quality monitoring networks based on an area’s population distribution, while requiring relatively minimal input data.
We’re sharing the presentation part of the session here—so you can listen in, too. Tune in to the first session on PM2.5 Forecasting by NASA’s Pawan Gupta and Junhyeon Seo here.
