Since the restructuring of the nineties and the reforms under the Electricity Act of 2003, the Indian power sector has come a long way. However, many of the old structural issues remain and the reform process is still work in progress. Reflecting on his decades of experience in this sector, especially at the helm of one of the few private discoms in the country, Mr Gopal Saxena, Director, BSES Rajdhani and BSES Yamuna, will give an overview of where we are and the road ahead.
