Celebrate the end of the growing season with a tour of local urban farms! This hike will kick-off with a conversation on Chicago’s local Foodshed with Dr. Sandy Hunter, Teaching Fellow for the Program on Global Environment and Anthropology. From 1155 E. 60th Street we will hike across Woodlawn, through Jackson Park, and along the Midway, witnessing and learning more about the local urban farming scene along the way. The total hike will be approximately 5 miles in length and will take place rain or shine!
