About the EPIC Predoctoral Fellowship Program
Predoctoral fellowships provide aspiring early career researchers with an in-depth understanding of the research process while undergoing intensive career development in a tight-knit community through a one- or two-year program.

Life at EPIC
While serving as an EPIC Predoctoral Fellow, Fellows engage with the academic and social life of EPIC and the larger University of Chicago community through year-round programming, including an Orientation Week, dedicated workshop, coursework, and more.

Meet our Fellows
EPIC’s outstanding predoctoral fellows have gone on to some of the country’s top PhD programs. Five predoctoral fellows have won prestigious and highly-competitive National Science Foundation grants.

Fellowship Opportunities
Successful candidates will serve as research assistants for EPIC-affiliated faculty, or work with the Climate Impact Lab under the direction of EPIC Director Michael Greenstone.
